Ken (K. M.) Weaver and Anneliese Schmidt
Ken and his wife Ali returned to the U.S. in the fall of 2009, after an arduous (beer-wise) extended period in Central America. After two+ years imbibing with the DC Ratebeer crew, hunting down rare beers and awaking to large cardboard boxes on their porch, they’re now drowning their sorrows in Northern California, biking distance from Bodega Bay and Russian River Brewing Company.
Ken (K. M.) Weaver received his MFA in creative writing from the University of Maryland – College Park and his M.S. in physics from Cornell University. He has taught creative writing both at Maryland and in a remote Miskito village on the Atlantic Coast of Nicaragua. His fiction has most recently appeared in elimae, failbetter.com, Monkeybicycle, and McSweeney’s Internet Tendency, and is forthcoming in Twelve Stories. His beer writing has appeared in Mid-Atlantic Brewing News. He currently serves as Managing Editor of The Hop Press.
Anneliese (Ali) Schmidt provides photographs with her Nikon D90, and currently works as a renewable energy consultant. She received her M.S. in physics from Cornell University. She’s finally (thankfully) come around to sour beers.
